SECTION 23-27.3-120.5

   § 23-27.3-120.5  Temporary occupancy.– Upon the request of the holder of a permit, the building official may issue atemporary certificate of occupancy for a building or structure, or partthereof, before the entire work covered by the permit shall have beencompleted; provided, that the portion or portions may be occupied safely priorto full completion of the building without endangering life or public health,safety, and welfare; and, provided further, that the agencies havingjurisdiction over permits issued under other applicable codes are notified ofthe decision to issue a temporary certificate.
