SECTION 23-5.1-2

   § 23-5.1-2  Duty of law enforcementofficers. – It shall be the duty of all law enforcement officers in this state to make adiligent effort to determine if any person they may find in a semi-conscious orunconscious condition is an epileptic or diabetic or a person who is sufferingfrom any other type of illness which would cause semi-consciousness orunconsciousness by looking for an identification bracelet. If any lawenforcement officer shall determine that an epileptic or diabetic person isactually suffering from an affliction that would cause semi-consciousness orunconsciousness, it shall be his or her duty to have the person immediatelytransported to a physician or to some facility where the services of aphysician are available.
