SECTION 23-59-11

   § 23-59-11  Right of residents to organize– Meetings. – (a) Residents shall have the right of self-organization. No retaliatory conductshall be permitted against any resident for membership or participation in aresidents' organization. The provider shall be required to provide to theorganization a copy of all submissions to the department.

   (b) The board of directors, its designated representative, orother such governing body of a continuing care facility shall hold meetings atleast quarterly with the residents or representatives elected by the residentsof the continuing care facility for the purpose of free discussion of issuesrelating to the facility. Such issues may include income, expenditures, andfinancial matters as they apply to the facility and proposed changes inpolicies, programs, facilities, and services. Residents shall be entitled toseven (7) days' notice of each meeting.
