SECTION 23-59-16

   § 23-59-16  Cease and desist orders –Injunctions. – Whenever it appears to the department that any person has engaged in, or isabout to engage in, any act or practice constituting a violation of thischapter or any rule, regulation, or order issued under this chapter, thedepartment may:

   (1) Issue an order directed at any such person requiring himor her to cease and desist from engaging in the act or practice; and/or

   (2) By application to a court of competent jurisdiction seeka permanent or temporary injunction or a restraining order to enforcecompliance with this chapter or any rule, regulation, or order issued underthis chapter.
