SECTION 23-7-5

   § 23-7-5  Vacancies, quorum and removal forcause. – (a) Any vacancy which may occur in the board shall be filled by the governorwith the advice and consent of the senate for the remainder of the unexpiredterm. A member shall be eligible to succeed himself or herself.

   (b) Six (6) members of the board shall constitute a quorum.

   (c) Members of the board shall be removable by the governorpursuant to § 36-1-7 of the general laws and for cause only, and removalsolely for partisan or personal reasons unrelated to capacity or fitness forthe office shall be unlawful.
