SECTION 24-8-33

§ 24-8-33 Connection into drainage system.– It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to make any connectioninto a state road drainage system, or to drain or pump water onto the travelledsurface of a state highway without first obtaining written permission from thedirector of the state department of transportation. The director of thedepartment of transportation is empowered to make and file rules andregulations which prescribe the conditions under which the permission shall begranted. The director shall render a decision within ninety (90) days ofreceipt of the request for permission. Any person, firm, or corporationconvicted of violating this section shall be fined one hundred dollars ($100).
