SECTION 25-2-2

   § 25-2-2  Artillery salute and display offlags on Independence Day. – On each and every fourth day of May, except when the day falls on the first dayof the week (commonly called Sunday), then on the day following, the governorshall cause salutes of thirteen (13) guns to be fired, at 12 o'clock, noon, bydetachments of the state artillery at all places in the state where stationed,and shall cause a display of state and national flags on all armories and otherstate buildings from sunrise to sunset, in celebration of Rhode Islandindependence.
