§ 27-13.1-1 Purpose. – The purpose of this chapter is to provide an effective and efficient system forexamining the activities, operations, financial condition, and affairs of allpersons transacting the business of insurance in this state and all personsotherwise subject to the jurisdiction of the director. The provisions of thischapter are intended to enable the director to adopt a flexible system ofexaminations that directs resources as may be deemed appropriate and necessaryfor the administration of the insurance and insurance related laws of thisstate.
