SECTION 27-18.1-3

   § 27-18.1-3  Exclusions and limitationsprohibited. – No insurance company, health maintenance organization, or nonprofit corporationmay issue, deliver, or renew any contract providing a health benefit orbenefits which contains any provisions excluding or limiting its benefits onaccount of eligibility for or payment of benefits under 42 U.S.C. § 1396et seq.; provided, that the application of this section shall not increase thepersonal liability to health care providers of a medical assistance recipientof health services, as those services are defined in § 42-62-4.
