§ 27-18-44 Primary and preventiveobstetric and gynecological care. – Any insurer or nonprofit health service plan that provides coverage forobstetric and gynecological care for issuance or delivery in the state to anygroup or individual on an expense-incurred basis, including a healthmaintenance organization, shall permit a woman to receive an annual visit to anin-network obstetrician/gynecologist for routine gynecological care withoutrequiring the woman to first obtain a referral from a primary care provider.
