SECTION 27-20-13

   § 27-20-13  Adoption of chapter by hospitalservice corporation. – Any nonprofit hospital service corporation organized pursuant to the provisionsof chapter 19 of this title may, with the consent of the Rhode Island MedicalSociety evidenced by the affidavit of the president and secretary of thesociety filed in the office of the secretary of state, amend its articles ofassociation to adopt the provisions of this chapter, and, upon that adoption,the corporation shall have and exercise all of the powers and be subject to allof the duties and responsibilities of a nonprofit medical service corporationto the same extent as though it had been incorporated as a nonprofit medicalservice corporation.
