SECTION 27-41-54

   § 27-41-54  Disassociation prohibited.– Notwithstanding any provision of the general or public laws to the contrary, noindividual or group health insurance contract, plan, or policy delivered,issued for delivery, or renewed in this state which provides medical coveragefor physician services in a physician's office, and no policy which providesmajor medical or similar comprehensive-type coverage for specified diseases orother supplemental polices, shall prohibit a medical provider from ceasing anassociation with and participation in one health maintenance organization andassociating and participating with another health maintenance organizationdoing business in this state.
