SECTION 27-49-6

   § 27-49-6  Severability. – If any clause, sentence, paragraph, section, or part of this chapter or itsapplication to any person or circumstances, shall, for any reason, be adjudgedby any court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, that judgment shall notaffect, impair, or invalidate the remainder of this chapter, and theapplication of this chapter to other persons or circumstances, but shall beconfined in its operation to the clause, sentence, paragraph, section, or partof it directly involved in the controversy in which the judgment shall havebeen rendered and to the person or circumstances involved.
