§ 27-6-3 Insurers to which chapterapplicable – Election between applicable laws. – This chapter applies to all insurers that, under any provision of the laws ofthis state, write any of the kinds of insurance to which this chapter applies.If any kind of insurance, or subdivision or combination of it, or type ofcoverage, subject to this chapter, is also subject to regulation by anotherrate regulatory act of this state, an insurer to which both acts are applicableshall file with the commissioner a designation as to which rate regulatory actshall be applicable to it with respect to that kind of insurance, orsubdivision or combination of it, or type of coverage.
