§ 27-6-49 Hearings on decisions ofcommissioner. – Any insurer or rating organization aggrieved by any order or decision of thecommissioner or by any rule or regulation adopted and promulgated by thecommissioner may within thirty (30) days after notice to the insurer ororganization make a written request to the commissioner for a hearing, exceptthat a hearing provided for by §§ 27-6-17 – 27-6-22 shall beheld as provided in those sections. Within twenty (20) days after receipt ofthat written request, the commissioner shall hear the party or parties andshall give not less than ten (10) days written notice of the time and place ofthe hearing. Within fifteen (15) days after the hearing, the commissioner shallaffirm, reverse, or modify his or her previous action, specifying his or herreasons. Pending the hearing and decision, the commissioner may suspend orpostpone the effective date of his or her previous action.
