§ 28-18-8 Removal of material processed inunauthorized homework. – The director of labor and training or his or her authorized representative mayremove any material or article which is being processed in a home in violationof any provision of this chapter and may retain it until claimed by theemployer. If the material or article is labeled as required by § 28-18-15,the director of labor and training shall by registered or certified mail givenotice of the removal to the person whose name and address is affixed to thearticle as provided by § 28-18-15. Unless the article or material removedis claimed within thirty (30) days thereafter it may be destroyed or otherwisedisposed of; provided, that where the material or article is not so labeled thedirector may also destroy or otherwise dispose of the material or article afterthirty (30) days if no claim is made for it within that period.
