SECTION 28-20-10

   § 28-20-10  Applicability to state andmunicipal employees. – It shall be the responsibility of the head of each state agency and of eachagency in the political subdivisions of the state to establish and maintain aneffective and comprehensive occupational safety and health program which isconsistent with this chapter and with the codes, rules, and regulationspromulgated pursuant to it. The head of each agency shall, after consultationwith representatives of its employees:

   (1) Provide safe and healthful places and conditions ofemployment consistent with the requirements of this chapter;

   (2) Acquire, maintain, and require use of safety equipment,personal protective equipment, and devices necessary to protect employees;

   (3) Keep adequate records of all occupational injuries andillnesses for proper evaluation and necessary action in accordance with theadvice of the director of labor and training and the director of health and tosubmit an annual report to the director of labor and training with respect tothose occupational accidents and illnesses.
