SECTION 28-20-2

   § 28-20-2  Division of occupational safety.– (a) The department of labor and training shall be responsible for theadministration and enforcement of all laws, codes, rules, and regulationspertaining to occupational safety and health as applied to every employeroperating in this state, provided that inspection of health hazards shall bemade pursuant to the provisions of chapter 1.1 of title 23.

   (b) There shall be a division of occupational safety withinthe department of labor and training which shall have all the powers and dutiesprescribed by the provisions of this chapter and chapter 19 of this title andany other duties that may be conferred by law upon the division.

   (c) Any reference to the division of industrial inspection inexisting laws is amended to mean the division of occupational safety.
