SECTION 28-22-2

   § 28-22-2  Penalties for non-payment.– (a) Any person who has violated any provisions of chapter 6 of title 5 entitled"Electricians," chapter 26 of title 28 entitled "Hoisting Engineers," chapter27 of title 28 entitled "Pipefitters and Refrigeration Technicians, FireProtection Sprinkler Contractors and Journeyperson Sprinkler Fitters and OilHeat Contractors," chapter 70 of title 5 entitled "Telecommunications," andchapter 20 of title 5 entitled "Plumbers," whether duly registered with theoffice of the secretary of state or not, and has been levied a fine by thedirector of labor and training, is required to submit penalties due to thedepartment of labor and training, division of professional regulation, withinthirty (30) days of notice of the fine or penalty or license(s) will berevoked. Reinstatement of these license(s) will require payment of allpenalties due to the department of labor and training and a subsequent hearingbefore the respective board.

   (b) Any person who has violated any provisions of chapter 6of title 5 entitled "Electricians," chapter 26 of title 28 entitled "HoistingEngineers," chapter 27 of title 28 entitled "Pipefitters and RefrigerationTechnicians, Fire Protection Sprinkler Contractors and Journeyperson SprinklerFitters and Oil Heat Contractors," chapter 70 of title 5 entitled"Telecommunications," chapter 20 of title 5 entitled "Plumbers," and chapter 20of title 28 entitled "Safety Awareness," whether duly registered with theoffice of the secretary of state or not, and has been levied a fine by thedirector of labor and training, and is not licensed with the department oflabor and training, division of professional regulation, is required to submitpenalties due to the department of labor and training, division of professionalregulation, within thirty (30) days of notice of the fine or penalty, or thedirector of the department of labor and training shall have the power toinstitute injunction proceedings in superior court.
