SECTION 28-32-5

   § 28-32-5  Disclosure and use of contentsof reports. – (a) No report, or part of a copy of a report, shall be open to the public, orshall any of its contents be disclosed in any manner, or be permitted to becomeknown, by any officer or employee of the state or other person having access toit, but the reports shall be used for state investigation, includinginvestigations by the workers' compensation fraud unit pursuant to section42-16.1-12, and statistics only, and those statistics shall in no way disclosethe identity of the employer making the report.

   (b) Any person who violates the provisions of this sectionshall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punishedby a fine of not more than one hundred dollars ($100) for each offense, and ifthe offender is an officer or employee of the state, he or she shall bedismissed from the office and shall be subsequently ineligible to hold anoffice under the state for a period of one year.
