SECTION 28-43-13

   § 28-43-13  Appeals to the board of review.– In the event that any application for refund or credit is denied, the directorshall notify the applicant in writing of that decision. Unless the applicant,within fifteen (15) days after the notice of denial has been mailed to theapplicant's last known address, files an appeal in writing with the board ofreview setting forth the grounds for that appeal, the denial shall be final. Ifan appeal is duly filed, the board of review shall then set a time and place togive the appellant an opportunity to show cause as to why the decision of thedirector should be changed. Following that hearing, the board of review shallas promptly as possible, notify the appellant and the director of its decisionon the application. That decision shall become final unless the appellant orthe director files an appeal to the sixth division of the district court inaccordance with the provisions of §§ 28-44-51 – 28-44-55.
