SECTION 28-9.2-11

   § 28-9.2-11  Fees and expenses ofarbitration. – Fees and necessary expenses of arbitration shall be borne equally by thebargaining agent and the corporate authorities. Notwithstanding any otherremedies which a court appointed arbitrator appointed by the chief justicepursuant to § 28-9.2-8 may have, the arbitrator or a party who has paidits share of the fees and necessary expenses of a court appointed arbitratormay petition the superior court for sanctions against the party failing to maketimely payment of its share of the arbitrator's fees and expenses, and thesuperior court is authorized to enforce the sanctions against the nonpayingparty, including, but not limited to, contempt powers pursuant to § 8-6-1.
