SECTION 28-9.7-11

   § 28-9.7-11  Fees and expenses ofarbitration. – Fees and necessary expenses of arbitration shall be borne equally by thebargaining agent and the state. Notwithstanding any other remedies which acourt-appointed arbitrator appointed by the chief justice pursuant to §28-9.7-8 may have the arbitrator or a party who has paid its share of the feesand necessary expenses of a court-appointed arbitrator may petition thesuperior court for sanctions against the party failing to make timely paymentof its share of such arbitrator's fees and expenses and the superior court isauthorized to enforce the sanctions against the nonpaying party, including, butnot limited to, contempt powers pursuant to § 8-6-1.
