SECTION 28-9-17

   § 28-9-17  Order confirming award. –At any time within one year after the award is made as prescribed in §28-9-16, any party to the controversy which was arbitrated may apply to thecourt having jurisdiction as provided in § 28-9-14 for an order confirmingthe award. Upon that application, the court must grant the order unless theaward is vacated, modified, or corrected as prescribed in §§ 28-9-18and 28-9-19, or unless the award is unenforceable under the provisions of§ 28-9-13. Notice of the motion must be served upon the adverse party orhis or her attorneys, as prescribed by law for service of notice of a motionupon an attorney in an action in the same court.
