SECTION 29-2-5

§ 29-2-5 Reports on expenditures. –(a) The Rhode Island historical society and the Newport historical societyrespectively shall place on file with the state librarian annual reports as tothe manner in which the funds are expended, as long as funds are appropriatedin accordance with §§ 29-2-1, 29-2-2, and 29-2-3.

(b) The Rhode Island historical society and the Newporthistorical society, respectively, shall submit to the general assembly and thestate librarian annually a plan for the preservation initiatives for thecollections in its care. The report shall be submitted as part of the annualreport of each agency.

(c) The Rhode Island historical society and the Newporthistorical society, respectively, shall submit to the state librarian adisaster preparedness plan for the collection in its care on or before January1, 1993. The plan will be maintained on file at the state library and will beupdated annually.
