SECTION 30-13-7

   § 30-13-7  Authority to apprehend. –(a) "Apprehension" is the taking of a person into custody.

   (b) Any person authorized by this code, or by regulationsissued under it, to apprehend persons subject to this code, any marshal of acourt-martial appointed pursuant to the provisions of this code, and any peaceofficer authorized to do so by law, may apprehend persons subject to the codeupon reasonable belief that an offense has been committed and that the personapprehended committed it.

   (c) Commissioned officers, warrant officers, petty officers,and noncommissioned officers have authority to quell quarrels, frays, anddisorders among persons subject to this code and to apprehend persons subjectto this code who take part therein.
