SECTION 31-1-31

   § 31-1-31  Types of stops. – (a) "Park" means, when prohibited, the standing of a vehicle, whether occupiedor not, otherwise than temporarily for the purpose of and while actuallyengaged in loading or unloading.

   (b) "Stop" means, when required, a complete cessation frommovement.

   (c) "Stop, stopping or standing" means, when prohibited, anystopping or standing of a vehicle whether occupied or not, except whennecessary to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with thedirections of a police officer or traffic control sign or signal.
