SECTION 31-18-4

   § 31-18-4  Overtaking of vehicle stoppedfor pedestrian. – (a) Whenever any vehicle is stopped at a marked crosswalk or at any unmarkedcrosswalk at an intersection to permit a pedestrian to cross the roadway, thedriver of any other vehicle approaching from the rear shall not overtake andpass the stopped vehicle.

   (b) Whenever there are no markings to the contrary, thereshall be a presumption that there is an unmarked crosswalk at any intersection.
