SECTION 31-23.1-3

§ 31-23.1-3 Supersession of other laws.– Provisions of chapters 23 and 24 of this title shall continue to be of forceand effect only until superseded by a rule, regulation, or code adopted by thegeneral assembly pursuant to the Vehicle Equipment Safety Compact. Anysuperseding rule, regulation, or code shall specify the provision or provisionsof existing statute being superseded in accordance with and as required by thischapter. The provision or provisions are repealed, effective on the date whenthe rule, regulation or, code superseding the provision or provisions becomeseffective pursuant to the Vehicle Equipment Safety Compact, and any violationof the superseding provision or provisions shall be a civil violation.
