SECTION 31-24-13

   § 31-24-13  Stop and turn lamps authorized.– Any motor vehicle may be equipped with, and when required under this chaptershall be equipped with, the following signal lamps or devices:

   (1) A stop lamp on the rear which shall emit a red or yellowlight and which shall be actuated by applying the service (foot) brake andwhich may but need not be incorporated with a tail lamp;

   (2) A lamp or lamps or mechanical signal device capable ofclearly indicating any intention to turn either to the right or to the left andwhich shall be visible both from the front and rear.

   (3) Violations of this section are subject to finesenumerated in § 31-41.1-4.
