SECTION 31-27-12.2

§ 31-27-12.2 Distribution of books orpads. – The books or pads as provided in § 31-27-12.1(c) shall be distributed asfollows:

(1) The administrative clerk of the judicial department shalldistribute books or pads containing the summonses and related records to allcourts having jurisdiction over the violation of any statute or ordinancerelating to the operation, control, or maintenance of a motor vehicle, andshall keep a record of the distribution including a receipt signed by the clerkof each court for each book or pad distributed to the court.

(2) Each court through its clerk shall distribute the booksand pads to the chief administrative officer of every police department orstate police barracks within its jurisdiction, and the clerk shall keep arecord of the distribution, including a receipt signed by each chiefadministrative officer for each book or pad distributed to the clerk.

(3) The chief administrative officers shall be responsiblefor the issuance of the books or pads to all police officers within theirdepartment or organization and shall keep a record of the distributionincluding a receipt signed by each police officer for each book or pad issuedto that officer.
