SECTION 31-32-2

   § 31-32-2  "Proof of financialresponsibility for the future" defined. – (a) "Proof of financial responsibility for the future", as used in thischapter, means proof of ability to respond in damages for liability, on accountof accidents occurring subsequent to the effective date of the proof, arisingout of the ownership, maintenance, or use of a vehicle of a type subject toregistration under the laws of this state, in the amount of twenty-fivethousand dollars ($25,000) because of bodily injury to or death of one personin any one accident, and, subject to the limit for one person, in the amount offifty thousand dollars ($50,000) because of bodily injury to or death of two(2) or more persons in any one accident, and in the amount of twenty-fivethousand dollars ($25,000) because of injury to or destruction of property ofothers in any one accident or seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) combinedsingle limit.

   (b) Wherever used in this chapter, "proof of financialresponsibility" or "proof " is synonymous with the term "proof of financialresponsibility for the future".
