SECTION 33-15.1-13

   § 33-15.1-13  Exemption of welfare agenciesfrom costs and bond. – In any petition for the appointment of a guardian filed by the director ofpublic welfare of any city or town, or the directors of the department of humanservices and mental health, retardation and hospitals, or one designated bythem in which the director or agent certifies that the petition is filed forthe purpose of enabling the ward, who is without funds, to receive assistancefrom funds which are financed in whole or in part by federal grants, thedirector or the director's agent, as petitioner, shall not be required to paycourt fees or to give surety on his or her bond.
