   § 33-15.1-5  Appointment of guardians forminors. – A probate court may appoint a guardian of a minor under the age of fourteen(14) years. A minor of the age of fourteen (14) years or over may nominate hisor her own guardian, who, if approved by the probate court, shall be appointedaccordingly.
