SECTION 33-16-20

   § 33-16-20  Compensation of guardians.– Compensation payable to guardians shall be based upon services rendered andshall not exceed five percent (5%) of the amount of money received during theperiod covered by the account. In the event of extraordinary services by anyguardian, the court, upon petition and hearing, may authorize reasonableadditional compensation for the guardian. A copy of the petition and notice ofhearing shall be given to the proper office of the veterans administration inthe manner provided in the case of a hearing on a guardian's account or otherpleading. No commission or compensation shall be allowed on the money or otherassets received from a prior guardian, nor upon the amount received fromliquidation of loans, or other investments.
