SECTION 33-5-12

   § 33-5-12  Wills prior to 1896. – This chapter and chapter 6 of this title and the provisions thereof shall notextend to any will made and executed prior to February 1, 1896, except as tothose provisions hereof which contain substantially the same provisions of anystatute of this state existing at the time of the making and execution of thewill and applicable thereto; but, the law in force at the time of the executionof the will made and executed prior to that date, shall govern the will. Everywill which shall, on or after February 1, 1896, have been reexecuted or revivedby any codicil, shall, for the purposes of this chapter and chapter 6 of thistitle, be deemed to have been made at the time at which the will shall havebeen so reexecuted or revived.
