SECTION 34-28-5

   § 34-28-5  Recording notice of intention.– Every town clerk and every recorder of deeds, as the case may be, shall, onpayment of a fee of eight dollars ($8.00) for each notice of intention, recordthe notices of intention provided for in § 34-28-4, whether in the formtherein provided or not, in a book to be kept by him or her for that purpose,with the time and date when the notices of intention are received and recordedby him or her; he or she shall also maintain an alphabetical index of theowners and lessees or tenants mentioned in all notices of intention, sorecorded, provided, however, that the town clerk may refuse for recording anynotice of intention which fails to reference the name of the owner of record,or lessee, pursuant to § 34-28-4(b).
