SECTION 37-16-11

   § 37-16-11  Powers of arbitrators. –The arbitrator or arbitrators selected as prescribed in this chapter, mayrequire any person to attend before them as a witness; and he or she and theyhave, and each of them has, the same powers with respect to all the proceedingsbefore them which are conferred upon a board or a member of a board authorizedby law to hear testimony. All the arbitrators selected as prescribed in thischapter must meet together and hear all the allegations and proofs of theparties; but an award by a majority of them is valid.
