SECTION 37-2-9.1

   § 37-2-9.1  Bidder registration fee. –The chief purchasing officer may adopt regulations to establish an annual fee,of not less than twenty-five dollars ($25.00), which shall be paid by allpotential bidders requesting to subscribe to solicitation mailings for publicbids for specific types of supplies, services, and construction during a fiscalyear, and may waive that fee for Rhode Island firms. Additionally, the chiefpurchasing agent officer may delegate to the purchasing agent the authority towaive that fee for an individual solicitation and to include unregisteredbidders in the solicitation in the interest of expanding competition. Nothingherein shall prevent any interested party from submitting a bid in response toany solicitation of which they become aware.
