SECTION 37-6.1-7

   § 37-6.1-7  Relocation services. – The department of transportation shall provide a relocation advisory assistanceprogram which shall include such measures, facilities, or services as may benecessary or appropriate in order:

   (1) To determine the needs, if any, of displaced families,individuals, business concerns, and farm operators for relocation assistance;

   (2) To assure that, within a reasonable period of time, priorto displacement, there will be available, to the extent that can reasonably beaccomplished, in areas not generally less desirable in regard to publicutilities and public and commercial facilities and at rents or prices withinthe financial means of the families and individuals displaced, housing meetingthe standards established by the director of transportation for decent, safe,and sanitary dwellings, equal in number to the number of, and available to, thedisplaced families and individuals and reasonably accessible to their places ofemployment;

   (3) To assist owners of displaced businesses and displacedfarm operators in obtaining and becoming established in suitable locations; and

   (4) To supply information concerning the federal housingadministration home acquisition program under § 221(d)(2) of the NationalHousing Act 12 U.S.C. § 1715(d)(2), the small business disaster loanprogram under § 7(b)(3) of the Small Business Act 15 U.S.C. §636(b)(3), and other state or federal programs offering assistance to displacedpersons.
