§ 37-7-7 Filing, publication, andrecording of transfers between departments and agencies – Costs. –The governor shall file the certificate referred to in § 37-7-6 with thesecretary of state who shall place the certificate on file and who shall causea true copy of the certificate to be published at least once in a newspaperpublished in the county in which the land or property is situated, and shallfile a certified copy of the certificate for record in the office of therecorder of deeds or town clerk in the city or town where the land or propertyis situated. The date and hour of the filing of the certified copy shall benoted thereon, and the filing shall be deemed to constitute a transfer of thecustody, control, and supervision over the land described therein in accordancewith the provisions of the certificate as of the day and hour noted upon thecertified copy. No fee shall be charged or collected for the filing orrecording. The cost of the publication shall be borne by the department, board,bureau, commission, or agency to which custody, control, or supervision hasbeen transferred.
