SECTION 39-14-4.1

   § 39-14-4.1  Issuance of certificate to ataxicab or limited public motor vehicle. – A certificate shall be issued by the administrator, after a hearing, to anyqualified applicant therefor, authorizing the whole or any part of theoperations covered by the application, if it is found that the applicant isfit, willing, and able properly to perform the service proposed and to conformto the provisions of this chapter and the requirements, orders, rules, andregulations of the administrator thereunder, and that the proposed service, tothe extent to be authorized by the certificate, is or will be required by thepresent or future public convenience and necessity; otherwise the applicationshall be denied. Any certificate issued under this chapter shall specify theservice to be rendered and, at the time of the issuance and from time to timethereafter, attached to the exercise of the privileges granted by thecertificate, such reasonable terms, conditions, and limitations as the publicconvenience and necessity may from time to time require. Certificates issuedunder this chapter shall be renewed before the close of business on December 31of each calendar year. The renewal fee shall be one hundred dollars ($100) andshall be submitted with the renewal form. All revenues received under thissection shall be deposited as general revenues.
