§ 39-26-10 Severability and construction.– If any provision of this chapter or its application to any person orcircumstance is held invalid, the invalidity does not affect other provisionsor applications of this chapter which can be given effect without the invalidprovision or application, and to this end the provisions of this chapter areseverable. The provisions of this chapter shall be liberally construed to giveeffect to the purposes thereof.
