SECTION 39-3-12.2

§ 39-3-12.2 Certain advertising costsprohibited on rate base. – No electric utility, as defined in chapter 1 of this title, may include as partof its rate base any expense for advertising, either direct or indirect, whichpromotes the construction of a nuclear facility for the generation ofelectricity, and no utility so regulated may furnish support of any kind,direct or indirect, to any subsidiary, group, association, or individual foradvertising and include the expense as part of its rate base. The commissionshall promulgate such rules and regulations as are necessary to require publicdisclosure of all advertising expenses, of whatever kind, either direct orindirect, and to otherwise effectuate the provisions of this section.
