SECTION 39-4-11.1

   § 39-4-11.1  Order to rebate or cancelcharges. – Whenever the division of public utilities and carriers is in receipt of adetermination that drinking water is not safe and potable, as determined bycertification of the director of health, the division shall thereupon order thepublic utility to rebate to or credit the accounts of its consumers, the costof the drinking water distributed during the period, or a portion thereof, asthe division, by its rules and regulations, may determine; and, providedfurther, that the director of health shall certify to the division the dateupon which it is determined that drinking water is restored to safety andpotability.
