SECTION 40.1-2-30

   § 40.1-2-30  Petitions for appointment ofconservator or legal guardian. – The department of mental health, retardation, and hospitals shall have standingto petition the appropriate probate court for the appointment of a suitableperson to serve as conservator, or to serve as legal guardian of the person orestate or both, of any patient or client served in any facility operated by thedepartment.
