SECTION 40-6-7.2

   § 40-6-7.2  Presumptive eligibility forpregnant women. – With respect to pregnant women, the state hereby adopts the optionalpresumptive eligibility program set forth in amendments to title XIX of thefederal Social Security Act, 42 U.S.C. § 1396 et seq. The department ofhuman services is hereby directed to prepare the necessary forms and give thenecessary training to providers of prenatal care to enable the providers toparticipate in the presumptive eligibility program pursuant to theabove-referenced federal laws. The director of the department of human servicesis authorized to promulgate such regulations as may be necessary to implementthe presumptive eligibility program.
