SECTION 40-8.10-1

   § 40-8.10-1  Purpose. – (a) In order to ensure that all Medicaid recipients eligible for long-term carehave access to the full continuum of services they need, the secretary of theexecutive office of health and human services, in collaboration with thedirector of the department of human services and the directors of thedepartments of children youth and families, elderly affairs, health, and mentalhealth, retardation and hospitals, shall offer eligible Medicaid recipients thefull range of services as allowed under the terms and conditions of the RhodeIsland Global Consumer Choice Compact 1115a Demonstration Waiver, includinginstitutional services and the home and community based services provided forunder the previous Medicaid Section 1915(c) waivers, as well as additionalservices for medication management, transition services and other authorizedservices as defined in this chapter, in order to meet the individual needs ofthe Medicaid recipient.
