SECTION 42-152-2

   § 42-152-2  Powers and duties.[Effective July 1, 2010.]. – The powers and duties of the former division of veterans' affairs, as providedfor in chapter 30-17 of the general laws are hereby transferred to the directorof veterans' affairs. The director shall be an honorably discharged war veteranof the United States armed forces and shall be appointed by the governor withthe advise and consent of the senate.
