SECTION 42-152-4

   § 42-152-4  Powers of department ofveterans' affairs. [Effective July 1, 2010.]. – The department of veterans' affairs, in addition to having the control andmanagement of veterans' affairs, shall have custody of all records inquiringinto the needs of worthy veterans and the needs of dependent worthy families ofthose veterans, residing within the state of Rhode Island, and shall alsoassist such cases as examination proves worthy of assistance, in such sums ofmoney and by such methods as will, in the judgment of that division, bestrelieve the needs of worthy applicants for assistance.
